The lengthy Bamboo leaves are ideal for larger biotope blackwater designs. The leaves may appear crispy and delicate but as they become waterlogged they become fuller in shape. The Bamboo leaf like the Papyrus and Catappa is enjoyed by many species of crystal shrimp and bottom-dwelling fish as an alternative food source. As their tannin level is mild compared to other aquatic botanical leaves, they are ideal for aquarists who are going for a clear water biotope.
